Flat Iron Building

Akron’s Flatiron Building was located at Howard and Main Streets in downtown Akron. It was built in 1907 and demolished in 1967.

This Day In History

1914 On this day in 1914, firefighter Hendrich Van Luttervelt died while responding to a blaze at 1065 S. Main St., the transfer barn of E.W. Forsyth.
