After construction in 1915, the hospital struggled financially. In those early years, the hospital relied heavily upon donations of money, supplies and volunteer hours in order to remain in operation.

This Day In History

1920 On this day in 1920, the Akron Pros football team formed. The Pros won the league championship that year becoming the first team to win a championship in the American Professional Football Association (later the NFL).
