This Day In History

1925 On this day in 1925, Goodyear's first advertising blimp, the Pilgrim, was christened by Florence Litchfield, wife of Goodyear president, P. W. Litchfield.
1968 On this day in 1968, the Wooster Avenue riots had spread to downtown Akron. Police Captain Al Monzo and his officers used tear gas in the area, bringing an end to the riot (although it was not officially regarded as over until the 23rd).
