Located in Akron’s Kenmore neighborhood and the corner of Florida and Eleventy street, the building was dedicated in 1929 and cost $110,000 to construct.

This Day In History

1912 On this day in 1912, President William Howard Taft made a whistle stop campaign speech at Grace Park to a small audience.
1916 On this day in 1916, the Crystal Restaurant (corner of Main Street and Quarry Street) collapsed as a result of a blast of dynamite in an adjoining excavation. Nine people were killed and 22 were injured.
