This Day In History

1976 On this day in 1976, 11,000 rubber workers went on strike against Goodyear, Goodrich, and Firestone. The strike would last 141 days, a record that would stand until the URW's strikes against Bridgestone/Firestone Inc. and Pirelli Armstrong Tire Corp. in 1994.
