Founded in 1856 by Thomas Robinson, Richard Whitmore, and Thomas Johnson. Robinson Clay Products company manufactured sewer pipes, tile, brick, and many other clay products.

1925 On this day in 1925, Police Officer Harold Rogers was killed when his motorcycle collided with a truck on Brown Street near East South Street while pursuing a reckless driver.
