Mill Street Viaduct – Looking East

A streetcar is seen crossing the Mill Street Viaduct over the main rail lines through town. At the right can be seen the Cleveland Akron & Columbus freight shed.

This Day In History

1881 On this day in 1881, The Akron Water Works Company began providing water service in Akron. The original supply came from an artesian well that was pumped into a reservoir.
1906 On this day in 1906, the Portage Country Club opened at Portage Path and Twin Oaks Road.
