Kepler’s Landing, Turkey Foot Lake

Kepler’s Landing was located at the south end of Turkey Foot Lake. The hotel was built in 1892 by William Kepler.

This Day In History

1825 On this day in 1825, General Simon Perkins and Paul Williams donated 100 lots of land to the State of Ohio, thus founding the City of Akron.
2010 On this day in 2010, the Young’s Restaurant at 2744 Manchester Rd. was demolished. The restaurant had been established on the site in 1850 by German immigrant John Young.
