This Day In History

1969 On this day in 1969, the Akron Transportation Company closed its doors. Its equipment and properties were sold at a public auction and Akron became the largest U.S. city without public transportation.
1975 On this day in 1975, Quaker Square opened in the historic Quaker Oats mills. On opening day, the site had four shops and an ice cream parlor.
