This Day In History

1905 On this day in 1905, Secretary of War William Howard Taft gave a speech in support of Republican party policies at the German Music Hall.
1964 On this day in 1964, Lyndon Johnson arrived at Akron-Canton airport and traveled by ca to Akron for a speech at the University.
1972 On this day in 1972, Police Officer Stephen J. Ondas was shot and killed by the driver of a car he and his partner stopped for not having any headlights. The suspect attempted to flee and the officers pursued. A struggle ensued near the police cruiser where the suspect grabbed Officer Ondas' firearm and shot him in the chest.
2016 On this day in 2016, Savannah James, wife of LeBron James christened Goodyear's Wingfoot Two blimp. Wingfoot 2 is the second semi-rigid-airship to be added to the fleet.
