This Day In History

1843 On this day in 1843, former President John Quincy Adams, on his way to Cincinnati, made visited Akron and participated in the dedication of the new courthouse.
1931 On this day in 1931, the USS Akron (ZRS-4) made her maiden voyage as a commissioned "ship" of the U.S. Navy and cruised down the eastern seaboard to Washington, D.C.
